A 5-Minute Smokey Eye Tutorial that will Change Your Life

  • 2 min read

BY CHELSEA SIMMONS

A sultry, smokey eye is the gold standard in makeup. It is the ever-elusive goal for many women; though, it seems to evade many of us. Right when we think we've achieved the perfect balance of smoke and depth, we make one false move and end up looking like a panda. (And, not in a cute, cuddly way.) So, we asked Global Educator Natalie Soto-Carlisle how to create a simple, 5-minute smokey eye. Not only did she give us some fool-proof steps to follow, she also showed us her expert technique. Check it out!

An Easy, 5-minute Smokey Eye Tutorial

Apply Eggplant from the Naturally Matte Eye Shadow Kit into your crease.

Line your upper lash line with Onyx Mystikol Powdered Eyeliner, then smudge Fudge from the Naturally Matte palette on your upper lash line. You should also use Fudge to smoke out the outer corner of the eye and into the crease.

To balance out the smokiness on your upper lash line, use Basic BlackEye Pencil to line your lower lashes and smudge the line with more Fudge eye shadow.

Then, apply Buttercream from the Naturally Matte palette to the inner corners of your eyes and on your brow bones. This helps make your eyes look brighter! Intensify the color by applying a little more Brown Silk onto your lids and blend. Finish your look with PureLash Lash Extender & Conditioner and Black Ice Longest Lash Lengthening and Thickening Mascara.
